The Rapid and city engaged in “Witch-Hunt” to silence students, workers
That’s why every ad or video has the tagline, “Experience Grand Rapids.” Honestly, it is a great experience, if you only spend time downtown. But what is that experience like for the workers who toil there before heading back to the neighborhoods where they pay a mortgage or rent?

Each August, just before the start of school, more than 1,000 drivers for the Atlantic Express school bus company gather in a lot in the shadow of Citi Field in Flushing, Queens. For the drivers, it is the event of the year, one repeated at lots all over the city, and is known simply as “the pick.”
